Naperville Neurofeedback!
Every aspect of our lives is affected by our brain waves: our thoughts, our feelings, our relationships... even the sensations of physical pain. The neurofeedback process actually trains brainwave activity by providing feedback to interrupt ineffective or inefficient patterns, based upon the electrical activity of the neurons in the brain.
EEG equipment is used together with a computer to monitor the moment–to-moment electrical activity of a person’s brain. This information about how the brain is performing is fed back to the brain through the music. The brain uses this feedback to decrease its instability and to increase communication both within and between its right and left hemispheres. The result is a brain that processes information more efficiently and more effectively. Sometimes the results can be very dramatic and sudden. More often, the changes are subtle and more gradual. Sometimes these changes feel so normal and natural that the improvements are not noticed initially. It can be similar to the experience of gradually recovering from a pulled muscle – you might not be aware of any improvement until one day you realize the pain is gone. Naperville Neurofeedback is located at 932 N Wright St, in Naperville, Illinois -- we're just a few blocks east of the corner of Ogden and Washington. |
