Linda Tevis Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Linda's interest in neurofeedback was sparked by the landmark book, A Symphony in the Brain, by Jim Robbins. The possibilities of this brain-training technology intrigued her; she wondered if it truly could help people who were “stuck” in long-standing patterns of disturbing thoughts and painful feelings.
In 2001, Linda acquired her first neurofeedback system and immediately incorporated it into her counseling practice to enhance the effects of her psychotherapy. She has found the combination of talk therapy and neurofeedback to be quite powerful at facilitating change. She enjoys helping her clients break free from PTSD, physical pain, depression, anxiety and other distressful feelings or thoughts, so that they can move forward in their lives and find a renewed sense of peace and clarity.
In 1993, Linda graduated from National Louis University as a member in Alpha Delta Omega, the Honor Society for Human Services. She then completed the credentialing process to become a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
Linda loves her work. The ability to relieve the pain of others--whether physical pain or emotional suffering--is very satisfying for her. She often says that, if she weren't actually doing this for a living, then she would wish that she were doing it.
